Industrial Automation

About Course
The course “Industrial Automation ” is designed to cater to the demands of any modern industry where skilled manpower is required to innovate upon and maintain the existing setups. The course aims to prepare students as ‘smart’ engineers through innovative use of automation for industrial environment and upcoming start-ups desiring to build customized automated systems. The content of the course is designed as a basic undergraduate course where the engineering students of the first year should be able to pick up well. The course is divided into three modules namely: Pneumatics/Hydraulics, Electro-pneumatics/Electro-hydraulics and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC). Each module comprises of theoretical lectures that lay the foundation, module-quizzes for timely evaluation of the penetration of the core syllabus, and finally end with few practice sessions involving real life industrial problems.
